Privacy Rights – Japan (APPI)

Last updated: September 16, 2026

This page supplements our Privacy Policy and Privacy Rights & Requests page. It summarizes rights that may apply under Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI). The availability and scope of these rights depend on the legal conditions for the particular request and processing activity.

Rights That May Apply

Where the APPI applies and its statutory requirements are met, rights concerning retained personal data may include requests for:

  • disclosure of retained personal data and certain related information;
  • correction, addition, or deletion when applicable conditions are met;
  • cessation of use or erasure in circumstances provided by law; and
  • cessation of third-party provision in circumstances provided by law.

Some requests may be limited or refused where the APPI or another applicable rule permits or requires that result.

How to Exercise Your Rights

Visit our Privacy Rights & Requests page for request instructions, or email office@cbrnmasks.com with the subject Privacy Rights Request.

We may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and the scope of your request before responding.
