The Supergum Mamtak, also listed as Quartz, is a child CBRN PAPR hood for toddlers and young children ages 2–8. The supplied product information lists MIL-STD-282, EN 166, and DIN 53505, with shelf life stated as up to 15 years under specified storage conditions. This product is not represented as NIOSH approved.
The powered full-head hood does not depend on the tight facial seal of a conventional mask. It still must be assembled, positioned, and operated according to its instructions.
The ONYX 45 blower supplies air through the connected filter and hose. Install suitable batteries and complete all operational checks before use.
The kit includes an integrated drinking tube. A responsible adult should supervise and practice the procedure in a clean environment using the supplied instructions.

We keep it partly assembled so we would not have to start from zero under stress. Very parent-friendly design.
We made the first practice a game because I did not want my daughter to associate the hood with fear. She could see me through the front, I could watch her expression, and she started laughing about looking like an astronaut. That reaction made the whole experience much easier than I had expected.
We practiced putting it on while cartoons were playing. By the second try she knew to sit still and let me lower the hood over her head, which made the process easier.
The hood worked well when we practiced with it. My main surprise was the size: it takes more storage space than I had pictured from the product photos.
