Emergency equipment on a baby felt strange at first, so we kept the practice simple. The large transparent area helped because my daughter could still see us and we could watch her face without lifting the hood. The second attempt went more smoothly than the first, which was reassuring.

One parent can manage it, although two people make the first practice easier. After that, I felt confident with the sequence.
I was nervous about trying emergency equipment on an infant. The hood felt surprisingly gentle and, importantly for me, it did not press on her face.
The interior feels roomy enough that I was not worried about fabric sitting against the baby's mouth or nose.

We practiced when the baby was fed and relaxed. Once the air started moving, she mostly looked around.
The large window lets me keep eye contact with the baby. I did not realize how much that would matter until our first practice.
