Gas Mask for Seniors – 4A1 CBRN Kit with ONYX 45 Powered Air
This powered-air gas mask kit for seniors and older adults includes the Israeli 4A1 full-face mask, ONYX 45 blower, M80 40mm filter, and breathing hose.
The blower moves filtered ambient air toward the mask, reducing reliance on the wearer’s inhalation alone to pull air through the filter. This is not a medical device or oxygen source, and the 4A1 still requires correct sizing and a reliable facial seal.
Why Choose a Powered CBRN Kit - PAPR vs Standard Gas Mask
A standard gas mask requires you to breathe through the filter under your own lung power. The ONYX 45 blower changes that entirely. It actively pushes 45 liters of filtered air per minute into your mask, dramatically reducing breathing effort and making extended wear far more comfortable. This matters most during high-stress situations like evacuations or prolonged exposure events- when breathing is already harder and fatigue sets in faster.
For older adults, the powered airflow eliminates the need to force air through a dense filter. Instead of straining to inhale, the ONYX 45 does the work for you, delivering a steady, comfortable flow of clean, filtered air.
