The Israeli M80 is a factory-sealed 40mm gas mask filter for compatible CBRN/NBC respiratory systems. Manufactured by Shalon Chemical Industries, this single-canister listing is intended for use with compatible 40mm threaded gas masks, hoods, and powered-air configurations.
For buyers searching for an Israeli gas mask filter or 40mm CBRN filter, verify the canister condition, markings, intended hazard, and complete respirator instructions before use. Thread compatibility alone is not a protection rating.
Compatible with gas masks and PAPR systems using a standard 40mm threaded port marked EN 148-1, Rd40, or STANAG 4155 - including the compatible masks and PAPR systems sold on CBRNmasks.com. Not compatible with bayonet-style or proprietary quick-connect respirators without an adapter. Always verify the connection type and system compatibility before ordering.
U.S. workplace use: CBRN Masks does not represent this M80 filter as a NIOSH-approved respirator configuration. For regulated occupational respiratory protection, including asbestos work, follow applicable OSHA and employer respiratory-protection requirements and use a NIOSH-approved respirator configuration selected for the specific hazard.
The M80 is designed for compatible 40mm-threaded products in our Israeli CBRN Full-Face Gas Masks and CBRN PAPR Hood Systems collections. Verify the connection type and compatibility of your specific equipment before use.

Yes.
The filter is factory-sealed and unused. Inspect the package on arrival and do not use a canister with damaged or compromised packaging.
It fits compatible gas masks and respirators with an EN 148-1/Rd40 40mm threaded port. Confirm the exact respirator instructions; a similar-looking connector is not enough.
No. The threaded interface only confirms a mechanical connection. Use the filter labeling and documentation to determine its intended hazards and limitations.
It depends on the contaminant level, concentration, humidity, airflow, and other conditions. For more information, read our guide by clicking below
Keep it sealed in its original packaging in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, chemicals, and physical damage. Observe the marked expiration and storage instructions.
Replace it after use, when damaged, or expired. Do not rely on odor or taste as a change indicator.

Would order again.
Bought one to match the rest of my Israeli kit. I prefer keeping the same filter type throughout.
As described. One corner of the shipping box was soft, so four stars.
The filter itself looks fine, but the packaging was more worn than I expected. I bought it mainly for storage, so the condition of the presentation matters to me.
I wanted one specific M80 as a spare. That is exactly what arrived.

Test-fitted it to my 40 mm mask, removed it again and stored it. Threads felt smooth.
Feels substantial in the hand, and the markings are clear enough to read easily.
I am picky about surplus-style filters because I do not want something that looks knocked around. This one arrived with clean threads, an intact cap and no dents. I mounted it once to confirm compatibility, removed it again, and put it into dry storage with the date written on the box.
Happy with the filter. Some of the printing on the label is small enough that I used my phone camera to enlarge it.
A good filter with clean threads. It is noticeably heavier than the newer civilian filter I normally use, so the extra weight is worth keeping in mind.
Everything looks right. I would have preferred a little more padding around the canister inside the parcel.
Correct filter, sealed package, good condition. Nothing else to report.
The cap was tight and the seal looked intact. Checked it, then put it into storage.
Works well. Storage is the awkward part.
The packaging handled international shipping well. The canister itself arrived looking untouched.

Everything I expected was in the box. I checked the threads, visor and straps, then did a short fit test at home. Everything was fine.
Factory seal intact, canister clean, no marks. Exactly what I wanted for storage.
The mask seems well made, but I am still struggling to get the rear straps comfortable around the back of my head. I am keeping it, although the fit has not fully convinced me yet.

Works for me.

Packed it with my camera gear and practiced putting it on quickly. After a couple of tries, the sequence felt natural.
