This factory-sealed Israeli Civil Defense 40mm gas mask filter is a lightweight NBC filter canister for compatible 40mm threaded masks, hoods and powered-air systems. It is sold as one unopened filter for emergency-preparedness and replacement-filter storage.
The connection uses the standardized EN 148-1 / Rd40 interface. Always verify the filter packaging, condition, intended hazard and complete-system instructions; a matching thread does not by itself determine protection.
Compatible with all gas masks and PAPR hoods using a standard 40mm threaded port marked EN 148-1, Rd40, or STANAG 4155 - including every mask and PAPR system sold on CBRNmasks.com. Not compatible with bayonet-style or proprietary quick-connect respirators without an adapter. Always verify the type of your mask connection before ordering.
Every gas mask and PAPR hood needs a filter - and having a spare sealed canister on hand means you are never caught unprepared. This easy-breathing filter is a great add-on to any product in our Israeli CBRN Full-Face Gas Masks collection or our CBRN PAPR Hood Systems collection. Keep one in your kit, one at home, and one in your go-bag.

It uses the standardized EN 148-1 / Rd40 threaded interface. Confirm the connection and complete-system compatibility of your specific respirator before use.
Yes. This page is for one factory-sealed Israeli Civil Defense filter. Multipacks are available separately.
No. Thread size only addresses the connection. Protection depends on the filter specification, condition, intended hazard and complete respirator system.
Keep an unused filter sealed and stored according to its instructions until it is needed or inspected as part of your preparedness plan.
Factory seal intact, canister clean, no marks. Exactly what I wanted for storage.
Exactly right.
A good option when you only need one spare instead of a large bundle.
Good single filter for a spare kit. The label is a little busy and took me a moment to read.
Arrived sealed and looks fine. A simple protective sleeve for storage would have been useful.

Breathing resistance feels reasonable to me. The canister is slightly bulkier than the product photos made it look, which is my only real reservation.

I ordered one first because breathing resistance matters to me. Compared with my older filter, this felt noticeably easier during a short practice, especially on the stairs. The canister arrived sealed and undamaged. After trying it, I put the cap back on and ordered another one for our second mask.
Good filter. I just wish the date information were printed larger.
Works with my mask as expected. One corner of the retail box was crushed, but the filter itself was undamaged.
Clean, sealed and simple. I already ordered another for the second mask.
Fit and condition were fine. The outer box could use better protection for long-distance shipping.
Breathing felt less restrictive than with my previous filter during a short practice session.

This listing includes one factory-sealed 40mm threaded filter. Check the quantity and package condition when the order arrives.
No. They fit compatible respirators with a true EN 148-1 / Rd40 40mm threaded port. Bayonet, proprietary, and other connectors may require a manufacturer-approved adapter or may not be compatible.
Keep them unopened in their original packaging in a cool, dry place away from sunlight, chemicals, and physical damage. Follow the marked expiration and storage instructions.
Service life depends on the exact hazard, concentration, humidity, airflow, and conditions. Follow the filter documentation; do not treat unopened shelf life as a universal operating time.
Replace it when required by its instructions, after relevant exposure, when damaged or expired, or when safe service life cannot be established. Do not rely on smell or taste as a warning.
Check every canister and sealed package for dents, corrosion, punctures, broken seals, or other damage. Keep the shipping packaging and contact us before use if anything is unexpected.

Everything I expected was in the box. I checked the threads, visor and straps, then did a short fit test at home. Everything was fine.
Factory seal intact, canister clean, no marks. Exactly what I wanted for storage.
Works for me.
Would order again.
Packed it with my camera gear and practiced putting it on quickly. After a couple of tries, the sequence felt natural.

The mask seems well made, but I am still struggling to get the rear straps comfortable around the back of my head. I am keeping it, although the fit has not fully convinced me yet.
Would order again.
